Located on the island of Crete, in the heart of the historical village of Maroulas which overlooks the bay of Rethymnon, Villa Loucrina is a classified villa from Venetian and Ottoman Empires, fully refurbished according to archeological requirements.

Passing the front door, you will immediately be immersed onto an exquisitely peaceful universe.

A few steps down to your right, you’ll find a very unique double room, carved out of a stone wall and ensuited. The glass doors, will lead you to the main kitchen and dining area as well as the cosy home theatre.

The outdoor staircase will lead to the upper floor of the house where you can enjoy magnificent views of the Mediterranean sea from the main terrasse. It can also be enjoyed from the Jacuzzi.

The steam room is accessible from the main room on the upper floor.

Villa Loucrina can accommodate up to ten people in five uniquely decorated rooms, each of them with its own bathroom and air-conditioned.

All towels and linen will be provided during your stay.

Maroulas is a village located on a hillside, surrounded by an olive grove and offering magnificent sea views. The few inhabitants give this village a very peaceful atmosphere.

It is just 15 minutes drive from the center of Rethymnon and 3km away from the most beautiful beaches of the region. The surrounding old stone buildings have the same charm and in time will undoubtedly be carefully brought back to life.

Just a few steps away from Villa Loucrina you will encounter a traditional herbalist’s store where Marianna; the owner; will guide you through her homemade oils, herbs and teas.

There is also a cheese shop where you can find a selection of the best local delicacies; as well as many walking distance “Tavernas” where you will enjoy traditional Cretan cuisine.

Maroulas is also located about 15 kilometers away from Arcadi monastery which is one of the most important monument of Greek and Cretan history.
